Kawn is an encyclopedia app made by Tariq Al-Aqrabawi. This policy explains exactly what leaves your device and why. Contact: tariq@teknawi.net.
If you sign in with Apple (optional)
When you choose to sign in, our server receives from Apple a stable user identifier, your email address (or the private relay address Apple creates if you hide your email) and your name if you choose to share it. We then store the favorites and learning progress you create in the app (explorer points, quiz counts and the list of entries you opened) so they can sync between your devices. An owner-granted Pro unlock is also stored on your account.
This data is used only to provide sync and your account. It is stored in a database hosted on Railway and kept until you delete your account.
Ask Kawn (the science guide)
When you ask a question, the question and the recent messages of that conversation are sent through our server to OpenAI to generate the answer. We do not store questions or answers and we do not attach your account to them; we keep only a daily count of how many questions were asked. OpenAI processes API requests under its own policy and does not use API data to train its models by default.
Content services contacted by the app
To show encyclopedia content, the app requests information directly from iNaturalist, Wikipedia and Wikimedia, NASA, NASA JPL, NOAA, The Space Devs and wheretheiss.at. These requests contain what you are looking at (for example a species name) and, like any web request, your IP address. They do not contain your account. Each service handles requests under its own privacy policy.
Location
Only if you open Life Near You and allow location access, your approximate location, rounded to about 10 km, is sent directly from your device to iNaturalist to find species recorded nearby. It is not sent to our server and is never stored.
Purchases
Kawn Pro is bought through Apple. Apple processes the payment; we never see your payment details.
Children
Kawn is a general-audience educational app. An account is optional and not needed for any content.
Deleting your data
In the app, open Me - Settings - Delete account. Your account and everything synced to it are deleted from our server immediately and permanently. You can also email us to request deletion. See Delete account.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.

إذا سجّلت الدخول بحساب آبل (اختياري)
عندما تختار تسجيل الدخول، يستقبل خادمنا من آبل معرّفًا ثابتًا للمستخدم، وبريدك الإلكتروني (أو عنوان الترحيل الخاص الذي تنشئه آبل إذا اخترت إخفاء بريدك)، واسمك إذا اخترت مشاركته. ثم نحفظ المفضلة وتقدمك التعليمي داخل التطبيق (نقاط المستكشف وعدد الاختبارات وقائمة المواضيع التي فتحتها) لمزامنتها بين أجهزتك. كما يُحفظ على حسابك تفعيل برو إذا منحه المالك.
تُستخدم هذه البيانات فقط لتقديم المزامنة وحسابك، وتُحفظ في قاعدة بيانات مستضافة على منصة ريلواي حتى تحذف حسابك.
اسأل كون (المرشد العلمي)
عندما تطرح سؤالًا، يُرسل السؤال والرسائل الأخيرة من المحادثة نفسها عبر خادمنا إلى شركة أوبن إيه آي لتوليد الإجابة. لا نحفظ الأسئلة ولا الإجابات ولا نربطها بحسابك، ونحتفظ فقط بعدد يومي للأسئلة. تعالج أوبن إيه آي الطلبات وفق سياستها، ولا تستخدم بيانات الواجهة البرمجية لتدريب نماذجها افتراضيًا.
خدمات المحتوى التي يتصل بها التطبيق
لعرض محتوى الموسوعة، يطلب التطبيق المعلومات مباشرة من آي ناتشراليست وويكيبيديا وويكيميديا وناسا ومختبر الدفع النفاث والإدارة الوطنية للمحيطات والغلاف الجوي وفريق ذا سبيس ديفز وموقع ويير ذا آي إس إس آت. تتضمن هذه الطلبات ما تتصفحه (مثل اسم كائن) وعنوان الإنترنت الخاص بك كأي طلب على الشبكة، ولا تتضمن حسابك. تتعامل كل خدمة مع الطلبات وفق سياسة الخصوصية الخاصة بها.
الموقع الجغرافي
فقط إذا فتحت صفحة الحياة من حولك وسمحت بالوصول إلى الموقع، يُرسل موقعك التقريبي، مقربًا إلى نحو 10 كم، مباشرة من جهازك إلى آي ناتشراليست للعثور على الكائنات المسجلة بالقرب منك. لا يُرسل إلى خادمنا ولا يُحفظ أبدًا.
المشتريات
يُشترى كون برو عبر آبل التي تعالج الدفع، ولا نطّلع أبدًا على بيانات الدفع الخاصة بك.
الأطفال
كون تطبيق تعليمي لجميع الأعمار. الحساب اختياري وغير مطلوب لأي محتوى.
حذف بياناتك
من داخل التطبيق افتح ملفي - الإعدادات - حذف الحساب. يُحذف حسابك وكل ما تمت مزامنته من خادمنا فورًا ونهائيًا. ويمكنك أيضًا مراسلتنا لطلب الحذف. راجع صفحة حذف الحساب.
التغييرات
إذا تغيرت هذه السياسة، ستُنشر النسخة الجديدة في هذه الصفحة بتاريخ جديد.
